| USINE 106U is spontaneously
combustionned with pleasure to convey you the opening of the flaming exhibition
IGNITION presenting the artworks of 26 visual artists: Mark Prent, Eric
Braün, La puce àl'agonie, Mimi Traillette, Jean-Michel Cholette,
YvesMilet-Desfougères, Daniel Erban , Guy Boutin, Sweet Grognasse,
FlorentVeilleux, Majka Kwiatowska, Adeline Lamarre, Scott Drapper, Haemi
Kim,Ashley West, Richard Harvor, Scott Ferry, Argonacon, Nadia Nadège,Heather
Kim, Luc Poudrier, Florent Fournier, Frederic Chabot, JohanTissot, Papparazit,
and Katah. Hallucinogenic paintings, pop-trash silkscreens, kinetic sculptures,
etchings, original drawings, modified plush toys, surrealist jewelry other
fascinating curiosities will massively take over the space. The exhibition takes place at USINE106U, 111 Roy E. from May 1st to May 31st 2008, and the opening willbe held on Thursday May 1st from 5hPM to 11hPM. Opening hours areSaturday to Wednesday noon to 6hPM , Thursday & Friday from noon to9hPM. |

Alex Wiesenfeld, Miss Withers and Jeni Yang.
Hollywood
Apocalypse! is a competitive art exhibit open only to artists
specially invited by Black Maria. Curated by writer and 3D artist
Ray Zone, who originated the concept for the exhibit, Hollywood Apocalypse!
gives life to a painting described in the classic Hollywood novel "The
Day of
the Locust" by Nathanel West, first published in 1939. This exhibition
is timed
to coincide with the Academy Awards and the motion picture and television
awards season. In support of those affected by the writers’ strike, 10%
of all
proceeds from the exhibition will go to the Writers Guild Foundation’s
Industry Support Fund.
Three judges will decide on the top entries:
Patricia Arquette, actress ("Medium" "Lost Highway" "True Romance")
Thomas Jane, actor ("The Mist" "The Punisher" "*61") and comic book publisher (Raw Studios)
Billy Shire, curator/owner/publisher (La Luz de Jesus, Wacko and Billy Shire Fine Art)
Tod
Hackett, the hero of, “The Day of the Locust”, works at the studio
in the
daytime and at night works on a painting he calls, “The Burning of Los
Angeles.”
The invited artists have created their own interpretation of the painting described
in the novel.

NEW Sad Bunny T-shirts are now available!!
Just
finished a run of tshirts with the design from an artwork called Sad Bunny.
The design was done in white on black tshirts. The womens shirts
are done on EmilyStrange shirts. So lightweight and nice stretch.
The mens are done on Gildan 100% cotton shirts.
Womens shirts come in Small and Medium.
Mens shirts come in Medium and Large.
Here are a few photos of the shirts that i took this morning
as well as an upclose photo of the design.
